Charles David Nesbitt

President and Partner

In essence, David is a hiring partner, a construction industry expert, a talent scout, and a business advisor. His 21 years as a trusted consultant in the search business have repeatedly brought proven success and enduring solutions to his clients. His insider’s understanding of construction companies’ needs enables David to find unparalleled talent matches within the industry.

David’s expertise and versatility grew from his focused roles within the construction and talent search industries. As Executive Vice President of Construction at Thurmond and Company, David trained recruiters, contributed strong revenues to the company, and published several executive search articles in construction-related periodicals.

His construction background also includes construction management, sales management, and commercial construction sales. He has hands-on construction experience, having worked both as a superintendent and project manager. He holds a General Contractor’s license and earned his MCM in Construction Management from Western Carolina University.

David’s talent search background solidified during his 10 years as an executive recruiter in the commercial construction sector. It was during this time that he received excellent training by search industry experts and mentors. In the intervening years he has built upon that training, establishing a reputation of trustworthiness and an aptitude for building enduring relationships.

For David, the satisfaction of combining his construction industry and talent search expertise is multi-faceted. He sees his role as one with many applications, but the most fundamentally important one is to cultivate meaningful, ongoing connections.

David loves spending time with his family, and being a father to his three young children. He also enjoys trail running, fly-fishing, teaching tennis, and volunteering on international mission trips.
